Fleeing a domestic violent situation is challenging enough. The process in which it takes to uproot yourself and your family is a process that is both scary and mentally/physically challenging. Our pets are usually the last on our minds during this chaotic transition.
Did you know that in your area, you may have services available to you that could host you pets during your transition? In Connecticut we are planning to open our transitional housing to families including their pets, in the meanwhile, we can direct you to organizations that are able to host your pets, because their safety matters to you and to us.
